Nizambad: Seven cars and two trucks were severely damaged in a major road accident on NH-44 at Chandrayanpally in Indalvai mandal here on Monday evening.
Officials said no casualties were reported, though six persons sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the accident occurred after a truck suffered a tyre burst and brake failure, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The truck rammed into two cars travelling ahead of it, forcing them to stop on the highway.
Five cars travelling behind the truck then crashed into the vehicles, resulting in a massive pile-up on the highway.
Meanwhile, another truck carrying coconuts, which was following the cars, lost control while trying to avoid the collision. The vehicle skidded off the road and overturned in nearby fields.

The accident triggered chaos on the busy highway, with motorists struggling to understand the sequence of events. Traffic movement on NH-44 remained disrupted for a long time as police and rescue teams cleared the damaged vehicles.
