A man stabbed his brother to death in Rein bazar locality of Hyderabad following an argument over drinking habits. Police are investigating

Hyderabad: A family dispute turned fatal, after a man allegedly stabbed his elder brother to death during an argument at their residence in Rein Bazaar on Sunday night.
According to police, Mohd Razaq (62) and Asha Begum (56), residents of Amannagar, have two sons and three daughters. While the daughters are married, their sons – Mohd Habeeb Pasha alias Sameer (25) and Mohd Farooq Pasha alias Chotubaba (22) work in a bakery.
Family members told the police that Habeeb Pasha had recently been returning home drunk and frequently abusing his mother and sister. Farooq Pasha had reportedly warned and confronted his elder brother several times over his behaviour, leading to growing tensions between the siblings.
Again on Sunday night, another heated argument broke out at their house after Habeeb Pasha allegedly abused the family members under the influence of alcohol. In a fit of rage, Farooq Pasha allegedly attacked his brother with a knife, causing fatal injuries and death on the spot.
On receiving information, the Rein Bazaar Police reached the spot and took up investigation. The police were yet to announce arrest of the suspect in the case.
