Hyderabad: Fresh flowers are often seen as decorative additions to homes, but they may also have a subtle effect on mood and emotional well-being. Recently, more people have started bringing flowers into their spaces not just for aesthetics, but for the sense of calm and freshness they create.

Bright blooms and natural greenery can instantly make indoor spaces feel more lively and welcoming. Their colours, fragrance and natural presence often help create a soothing atmosphere after long days filled with work and screen time. Even a small vase placed near a work desk or centre tables can make a room feel more comforting and peaceful.

“I started buying fresh flowers every week from a florist near my home almost a year ago, and now it has become part of my routine,” says 27-year-old marketing professional Ananya Rao. “Coming back to a room with fresh lilies or roses genuinely lifts my mood. It makes my space feel calmer and more cared for,” she adds.

Interestingly, flower subscriptions are also becoming increasingly popular among young adults and working professionals. Many local florists now offer weekly or monthly flower deliveries, where customers receive freshly arranged blooms at home on a regular basis. For some, these subscriptions are becoming small self-care rituals that add colour and warmth to everyday routines.
