The Chilkalguda police, along with Gandhi Hospital authorities, shifted six mentally unstable individuals without family support to Second Chance Mission Hospital in Yapral on Thursday. Police officials said the initiative was aimed at ensuring care, protection, and dignity for vulnerable persons.

Hyderabad: The Chilkalguda police, in coordination with the management of the Gandhi Hospital, on Thursday, shifted six individuals who were found to be mentally unstable and undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital to the “Second Chance Mission Hospital” located at Yapral.
K Shashank Reddy, ACP Chilkalguda, said that the individuals were unable to take care of themselves and had no family or guardians to look after their welfare.
“Recognising their vulnerable condition, they were shifted to the facility. The Chilkalguda Police Division remains dedicated to upholding social responsibility and ensuring that the most vulnerable sections of society receive the care, dignity, and protection they deserve,” said K Shanshank Reddy, ACP Chilkalguda.
