Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy has decided to boycott the review meeting on revenue and housing departments, citing the pending proposals submitted by him in the past.
A meeting is scheduled on Friday under the chairmanship of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. However, the BRS MLC has written to the Minister, questioning the prolonged delay in clearing his development proposals. He informed his decision to boycott the meeting.
In the letter, the BRS MLC said proposals worth Rs 248.40 lakh were submitted under the Constituency Development Programme for 2023-24 remained largely pending.
While Rs.124.20 lakh was sanctioned through the Hanamkonda district Collector, the remaining 50 per cent has not received approval despite provisions under GO MS No. 3, hampering public works in his constituency, he stated.
The BRS MLC stressed that prolonged delay in approving the proposals appeared deliberate and constituted a violation of his rights as a Member of the Legislative Council.
“Under these circumstances, participating in revenue and housing review meeting at the TGSHCL office served no purpose,” Srinivas Reddy said.
