Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri Police conducted a special drive on Wednesday against motorcycles fitted with modified silencers that cause noise pollution and booked 451 cases and removed 76 modified silencers on a single day.
On the same day, police imposed fines totaling Rs 6.14 lakh on violators.
Officials said the checks were carried out at several traffic police stations, including Malkajgiri, Begumpet, Trimulgherry, LB Nagar and Vanasthalipuram, as part of a crackdown on loud exhaust noise and to ensure compliance with traffic and pollution control rules.
