Woman killed by unknown person in Peddapalli

A 28-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by unidentified persons in Putnur village of Palakurthy mandal in Peddapalli district. Her body was found by a census enumerator on Wednesday, following which police launched an investigation and shifted the body for postmortem

Woman killed by unknown person in Peddapalli

Peddapalli: A woman, Bouthu Sumalatha (28), was allegedly killed by unidentified persons in Putnur village of Palakurthy mandal. According to villagers, she was found lying in a pool of blood when a census enumerator visited her house on Wednesday.

Panicked over the incident, the enumerator alerted villagers, who informed Basanthnagar police. On receiving information about the incident, police led by Sub-Inspector Nuti Sridhar rushed to the spot. They suspect that she was killed on Tuesday night.


Sumalatha, who worked as a shepherd, was staying in the house along with her bedridden father, who is suffering from paralysis. Police began an investigation after registering a case. The body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem.
