Brigadier N.R. Babu, Director of the Sainik Welfare Department, urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to establish a Telangana Ex-Servicemen Corporation. The CM responded positively, directing officials to draft a framework and study similar models in other States.

Telangana govt urged to set up Ex-Servicemen Corporation

Hyderabad: Sainik Welfare department director Brigadier NR Babu (Retired) urged the State government to establish a Telangana Ex-Servicemen Corporation.

Brigadier Babu who met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Wednesday discussed various issues pertaining to the welfare of ex-servicemen in the State.


The Chief Minister, according to the Sainik Welfare department, responded positively and directed the CMO (Chief Minister’s Office) officials to prepare the necessary framework and procedures for the proposed corporation.

He also advised officials to study the functioning, policies, and operational models of ex-servicemen corporations in other States and suggested convening a meeting shortly for further deliberations.

Brigadier Babu also highlighted the need to convene the Rajya Sainik Board meeting, for which the Chief Minister is the Chairman. Responding positively, the Chief Minister stated that the feasibility of conducting the meeting would be examined at the earliest.
