Karimnagar: Two persons died and two others were injured in a road accident that took place in Veenavanka on Thursday night.
According to police, natives of Jammikunta, Maisa Surender, Marapalli Devender and Maisa Srivastav had gone to Challur in Veenavanka mandal to attend a relative’s function and met with an accident while returning home.
The bike on which they were travelling rammed into a bullock cart coming from the opposite direction.
While Surender (48) died on the spot, Devender (50) breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital. Surender was working as a conductor at the Godavarikhani TGSRTC depot.
The injured, Srinivas Reddy (owner of the bullock cart) and Srivastav, are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jammikunta. On learning about the incident, police visited the spot and began an investigation after registering a case.
