A woman and her two daughters drowned in an open well at Borgi village in Sangareddy district after one of the girls accidentally slipped into the water. The mother and elder sister also drowned while attempting to rescue her, police said

Sangareddy: Washing clothes on the slippery edge of an open well proved fatal for a family of three at Borgi village in Kangti mandal. According to Kangti police, a woman, Savithri Bai (35), along with her two daughters, left their home to wash clothes at an open well located on the outskirts of the village on Tuesday. Her two daughters, Nikitha (13) and Nandini (12), accompanied her.
While Savithri was busy washing clothes, Nandini, one of her daughters, slipped into the well while playing. Her mother jumped into the well to save her. When both disappeared in the water, Nikitha also drowned while trying to rescue them. None of the three knew how to swim. The incident left the entire village in shock. The police registered a case.
