Peddapalli: A woman gave birth to a baby on a train on Saturday. Railway officials halted the train at Ramagundam railway station and shifted her to the Godavarikhani Government Area Hospital.
A native of Gudur in Andhra Pradesh, Sita Devi was on her way to Maharashtra in the Bagmati Express (No.12578).
She developed labour pain after the train crossed Warangal railway station and gave birth to a baby boy through normal delivery. After coming to know about the incident, officials stopped the train at Ramagundam railway station and shifted her to the Godavarikhani Area Hospital in a 108 service ambulance. The condition of the mother and newborn is stable.
