Hyderabad: Sreenidi Deccan FC will take on table-toppers Diamond Harbour FC in their second match of the Indian Football League 2025–26 Championship Stage. The match is scheduled to commence at 6:30 pm at the Kalyani Stadium in Kolkata on Sunday.
In their opening game of the Championship Stage, the Deccan Warriors fought back to defeat Rajasthan United FC 2-1 away from home, whereas Diamond Harbour secured a 2-0 win away from home against Chanmari FC.
Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Carlos Vaz Pinto said, “We are confident from the last win, but along with the confidence we have to bring the right commitment to fight for the three points tomorrow. As a team, we have grown over the season; we have to be at our best tomorrow with the right intent to secure the win.”
Young midfielder Lanbiakliana Rivung, who scored on his first start of the season against Dempo SC, further added, “It will be a tough game against Diamond Harbour as they are a very good team with a very good set of players. But if we play to our potential, we can definitely get the win as we have done in the first match of the season.”
