Hyderabad: A court has convicted one Asgar Ali (37), a construction worker in a child sexual assault case registered at Jeedimetla police station and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 35,000.
In May 2025, the Asgar Ali had sexually assaulted the 15-year-old multiple times and further threatened to remain silent.
Following the complaint, Jeedimetla police registered a case and arrested him.
The court also directed payment of Rs 3 lakh as compensation to the victim.
