Water supply in several parts of Hyderabad will be disrupted for 24 hours from 6 am on May 2 due to cleaning works at Asifnagar filter beds. Multiple localities will be affected during the scheduled maintenance period.

Hyderabad: As cleaning works are being carried out at the Asif Nagar filter beds, the water supply will be disrupted in some parts of the city for 24 hours from 6 am on May 2.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, in a press release, said the affected areas include Red Hills, Nampally, Mallepally, Seetharambagh, Godeki Khabar, Hindi Nagar, Assembly, Secretariat, New MLA Quarters, Adarsh Nagar, South Central Railway, Nampally, Gunfoundry, Chintal Basti, Vijayanagar Colony, Old Mallepally, Asif Nagar, Ahmednagar, Kavadiguda areas, Gandhinagar areas, Domalguda, Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills areas.
The cleaning work has been scheduled at the old balancing tank with a capacity of 1.36 ML at Asif Nagar Filter Beds from 6 am on May 2 to 6 am on May 3, affecting water supply in several areas, the press release said.
