A 64-year-old painter, Madari Gopi, died after falling from scaffolding at a construction site in Balanagar, Hyderabad, when the rods broke and an iron rod struck his head.

Hyderabad: A painter died after falling from the scaffolding at a construction site in Balanagar on Tuesday.
The victim, Madari Gopi (64) was sitting on scaffolding and doing ceiling painting work when the scaffolding rods broke and Gopi fell on the floor.
“A big iron rod landed on Gopi’s head, leading to injuries. He subsequently died,” said Balanagar police. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
