Hyderabad: Commencing this year, admissions to the five-year integrated undergraduate-postgraduate programmes offered by the State universities will be carried out via the Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST). Earlier, the admissions to these programmes were conducted through the Common Postgraduate Entrance Tests (CPGET).

In a statement, the Telangana Council of Higher Education said admissions to integrated undergraduate-postgraduate programmes – MSc Bio-Technology, MSc Chemistry, MSc Chemistry (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), MA Applied Economics, and MBA – will be through DOST.

A total of 370 seats are for grabs in these programmes, which are being offered by universities including Kakatiya University, Warangal, Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar, Telangana University, Nizamabad, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, and Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree Colleges (Men & Women).

Students who have completed their intermediate or equivalent are eligible to apply for these five- year integrated programmes, which offer the advantage of completing both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in a continuous five-year academic pathway, said Prof V Balakista Reddy, Convener DOST and Chairman TGCHE.

The Council advised all interested students and parents to take note of the important development and stay updated with notifications, schedules, and guidelines that will be available on the official DOST portal.
