Karimnagar: The BRS district unit hailed the High Court’s verdict on the PC Ghose commission’s report regarding the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. BRS leaders and workers, under the aegis of town president Challa Harishankar, celebrated the verdict by bursting crackers and distributing sweets at Telangana Chowk here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, they said that the High Court’s verdict was a tight slap on the face of the Congress government. They alleged that the PC Ghose commission, continued by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, was driven by a conspiracy and full of lies. The court instructed against taking any action on BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao and MLA T Harish Rao based on the report, they said.
Alleging that the State government anticipated the verdict, they said Revanth Reddy, who had neglected the Kaleshwaram project during the last two and a half years, had begun a commotion in the name of repairs.
