Afzalgunj police arrested a man for stealing gold ornaments from a passenger on a sleeper bus. The theft occurred while passengers slept, and CCTV footage helped police recover 17 tulas of gold and identify the accused.

Hyderabad: The Afzalgunj police on Tuesday arrested one A Venkata Siva Reddy (35) on charges of stealing gold ornaments from a passenger on a private sleeper bus travelling from Anantapur to Hyderabad earlier this month.
The theft occurred on April 12 while passengers were asleep. The victim, a doctor, noticed the loss after reaching MGBS and filed a complaint.
The Afzalgunj Police tracked down the suspect with the help of CCTV footage and recovered about 17 tulas of gold.
Officials said Siva Reddy is a repeat offender targeting bus passengers.
