Hyderabad: The Task Force (Secunderabad) and OU City police on Tuesday arrested three chain snatchers identified as P Hemanth Kumar alias Nanu, P Deepak, and Mal Shankuriya, along with a receiver, K Ramachary, in connection with a snatching case.
The trio targeted a woman in Habsiguda in the early hours of April 17, snatched her gold chain, and fled on a motorcycle. They later split the stolen chain and sold it.
Officials said the suspects are repeat offenders involved in multiple property crimes. The arrests were made with the help of CCTV footage and technical evidence.
Police recovered about 35 grams of gold, two motorcycles, including one bought using the stolen money and mobile phones.
