Hyderabad: A woman lodged a complaint against a quick commerce platform alleging she was delivered spoiled fish through the platform in Mehdipatnam.
The woman, a resident of Vijay Nagar Colony, reported that the fish which she ordered and was delivered on Monday, was unfit for consumption and product had expired. She claimed that despite reaching out to the company’s customer support, her grievance was not addressed satisfactorily, prompting her to approach the authorities.
Based on her complaint, the Mehdipatnam police booked a case and are examining the circumstances surrounding the delivery and the company’s response.
Officials said they are also looking into possible lapses in quality checks and handling procedures. Meanwhile, the incident has triggered concerns over food safety in online deliveries.
