Hyderabad: The Congress leadership has decided to fast-track the filling of nominated posts, which have been pending for months. Priority will be given to party workers and leaders who contributed during the elections. Government orders for these appointments are expected within the next few days.
The decision was taken during a meeting held by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud here on Wednesday. They also discussed delimitation, the Women’s Reservation Bill and measures to strengthen the party.
Amid speculations of a Cabinet reshuffle, the leaders also reviewed the performance of Ministers and corporation chairpersons, citing reports of dissatisfaction within the party cadre. A preliminary view was taken on whether to continue or replace existing appointees. The Chief Minister directed that a Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting be convened within a week. Key decisions on Cabinet expansion and district-level committees are likely to be taken accordingly.
