Hyderabad: Despite a strict ban on two-wheelers, violations continue unabated on the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road, allegedly due to a lack of effective monitoring.
In a recent incident, two couples were seen riding on two motorcycles along the high-speed corridor, violating road safety norms. The act was captured on a mobile phone by a motorist who was passing by the route, and the video subsequently became viral on social media.
The ORR was designed exclusively for high-speed vehicles, and entry of bikes is prohibited to prevent accidents. However, in the alleged absence of consistent surveillance and enforcement, such risky violations are being reported frequently.
Efforts are on to trace the violators.
