Hyderabad: The 18-year-old Naga Moksha Yerram from Hyderabad, Telangana, bagged a bronze medal at the US Open Pickleball Championships, according to former Davis Cupper and secretary of Telangana Pickleball Association J Vishnuvardhan.
“Moksha qualified for the international event following an impressive performance at the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) Nationals 2025, where she secured two gold medals in the Under-18 Singles and Under-18 Mixed Doubles categories, along with a bronze medal in the Women’s Singles 4.5 division (12–29 age group),” Vishnuvardhan said.
“Moksha is one of the most talented players, and her commitment to the sport is exceptional. We are proud that she has won this medal for the state,” he said.
“Moksha’s achievement highlights the growing prominence of pickleball in Telangana and positions her as one of the promising young talents in Indian pickleball,” Vishnuvardhan added.
Moksha’s parents expressed delight at her achievement, stating that her success was the result of consistent hard work and dedication. They said they would continue to support her as she aims for greater accomplishments in the sport.
