New Delhi:

Vijay Deverakonda, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Family Star, recently revealed his experience of working with co-star Mrunal Thakur. Talking to Galatta Plus, the Arjun Reddy star said, “When you have an intelligent actress with you, it is very easy. Mrunal has been acting even before I started dreaming of films. She has been working from a young age. She picks up things very fast. I keep telling her that she is blessed with a face. Even if she doesn’t too much, you can feel the emotions. The geometry of her nose, lips and eyes… there’s something about it that the emotions comes through well even if she doesn’t know the language. It was very easy to work with her.”

A day back, the actors shared a video of themselves dancing to the track Kalyani Vaccha Vacchaa from their film Family Star. The duo can be seen twinning and winning in festive outfits. They captioned the post, “Celebrating ‘Family Star’ with all of you. Book your tickets now.” Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda also shared a collab post with Sri Venkateswara Creations on Instagram and they captioned it, “We are a happy Family. "Election Interference": Trump On New York Trial Gag Order Expansion

'Election Interference At Its Worst': Trump On New York Trial Gag Order Expansion

Trump now has four criminal indictments to his name and faces 88 felony counts (File)

Donald Trump hit out Tuesday at a New York judge for extending a gag order preventing the former US president from attacking those involved in the case, calling it “election interference” ahead of November presidential polls.

On Monday the New York judge presiding over Trump’s trial for allegedly making pre-election hush money payments to a porn star expanded a gag order against him to include comments about family members of the magistrate and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The move came after the Republican presidential candidate lashed out at Judge Juan Merchan and his daughter in a series of posts on Truth Social.

“I just was informed that another corrupt New York Judge, Juan Merchan, GAGGED me so that I can not talk about the corruption and conflicts taking place in his courtroom,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“They can talk about me, but I can’t talk about them??? That sounds fair, doesn’t it?

“ELECTION INTERFERENCE at its worst!”

In his order on Monday, Merchan said Trump’s “pattern of attacking family members of presiding jurists and attorneys assigned to his cases serves no legitimate purpose.”

“It merely injects fear in those assigned or called to participate in the proceedings, that not only they, but their family members as well, are ‘fair game’ for defendant’s vitriol.”

Trump faces charges of falsifying business records for payments made by his lawyer Michael Cohen on the eve of the 2016 presidential election to porn star Stormy Daniels to make sure she did not publicize a sexual encounter.

The case will kick off on April 15 and marks the start of the first ever criminal trial of a former president.

Asked by reporters if he would take the witness stand, Trump has said he “would have no problem testifying.”

Trump now has four criminal indictments to his name and faces 88 felony counts for a wide variety of alleged criminality.

Phones and SIM cards given to cyber warriors in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju handed over phones and SIM cards to police personnel who have received special training on cyber crimes and appointed as the cyber warriors.

The SP said that 28 cyber warriors, one for each police station have been appointed in the district. They were given a special phone number. People affected by cyber crimes should immediately call 1930 or lodge complaints through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP).

Cyber warriors have been appointed in every police station to provide better services to the public affected by cyber crimes. It would be easy to crack cyber crimes only if the affected persons register their complaints, Rohith Raju noted.

Those fallen prey to cyber crimes and lodged complaints could know their application status from time to time through the cyber warrior, the SP said while urging the public in the district to make use of the service.

District cyber crimes in-charge Inspector Jitender and cyber cell member Shravan were present.

Iran says reserves right to ‘respond decisively’ to Israeli aggression

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has underscored the Islamic Republic’s legitimate right to a decisive response based on international law to the Israeli regime’s recent deadly aggression on the country’s consulate building in the Syrian capital.

Israeli airstrikes targeted the Consular Section of the Iranian Embassy in the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus on Monday afternoon, as a result of which seven military advisors of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) were martyred in the barbaric attack.

Condemning the Zionist regime’s aggression in the strongest terms, the Foreign Ministry said in statement on Tuesday that the “targeted attack” was carried out on a known diplomatic facility and on a number of Iran’s anti-terrorism military advisors, who had diplomatic immunity.

The ministry said the “cowardly and appalling” attack on Iran’s consulate building in Damascus contravenes the immunity of diplomatic persons and places, and is in clear violation of international regulations, especially the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, and the United Nations Charter.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran reserves its legitimate and inherent right based on international law and the United Nations Charter to respond decisively to such terrorist acts,” the statement said.

“It is expected that the heinous attack and violation of international law will be denounced and strongly condemned by governments and international assemblies.”

Underlining that the Islamic Republic will make the Israeli regime regret its new adventure, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the illegal entity will never be spared from its inevitable defeat by resorting to such heinous crimes.

Warning the international community about Israel’s acts of adventurism to expand the scope of hostilities, the statement placed the blame on the Zionist regime for the consequences of its criminal attack on Iran’s diplomatic mission.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry also said the Israeli aggression bespeaks the regime’s ultimate despair following back-to-back failures in its months-long war on Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

“This terrorist attack shows the apex of desperation, helplessness and strategic disorientation of the Zionist regime as a result of its military, political and moral failure in the Gaza Strip after six months of cruel, criminal war, but without any victory, against the resistance movements and the patient and resilient Palestinian nation.”

“It is clear the Zionists failed to deter the power of resistance in Gaza, and now they have resorted to every desperate and slanderous attempt to get out of their political and international isolation.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said such vicious attacks would not compensate for the regime’s irreparable failure in Gaza.

Israeli warplanes bombed with six missiles the Iranian consulate, situated next to the embassy building in Damascus’s Mezzeh district, on Monday afternoon.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps named Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, and his deputy General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi as among the martyrs of the terrorist attack.

3 Arrested In Rajasthan For Issuing Fake Organ Transplant Certificates

3 Arrested In Rajasthan For Issuing Fake Organ Transplant Certificates

The arrested accused took money for the fake certificates (Representational)

Jaipur:

Rajasthan’s Anti-Corruption Bureau, or ACB, has arrested three men in a major crackdown on an organ transplant racket that issues fake no-objection certificates, or NOCs, in exchange for money.

A staffer of Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Hospital allegedly issued fake certificates for the transplants.

Several NOCs were issued to foreign nationals who had come to Jaipur for treatment, the ACB said.

Twelve hospitals in the state are on the ACB’s radar along with a few in Mumbai.

The SMS Hospital staffer and the middlemen were caught red-handed at the hospital while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 70,000 for an NOC, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (ACB), Ravi, said.

The accused include an SMS Hospital official and organ transplant coordinators at the EHCC Hospital and Fortis Hospital, he said.

The state government issued an order on Monday saying that the assistant administrative officer of SMS Hospital, Gaurav Singh, has been suspended after the ACB arrested him.

A complaint was received that an SMS Hospital staff, in collusion with middlemen, was issuing fake NOCs for organ transplants without the approval of the committee concerned, the ACB said.

The ACB verified the complaint and sent a team to the hospital on Sunday. There they caught Gaurav Singh and Anil Joshi, the organ transplant coordinator of EHCC Hospital, accepting Rs 70,000 as a bribe. Three fake NOCs were also recovered from them.

The team also arrested one Vinod – an organ transplant coordinator of the Fortis Hospital in Jaipur.

The bureau is now checking how many fake certificates were issued and is investigating two hospitals in Jaipur. The premises of Fortis and EHCC hospitals were searched in connection with the case.

"Not India Of 1962": Kiren Rijiju Counters China's Arunachal Claims

Mr Rijiju said the move makes China look “very unlike a responsible nation”.

China was used to “meek” Indian governments and the Narendra Modi government’s strong border policy has irritated the country, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has said.

Reacting to China ‘renaming’ 30 more places in Arunachal Pradesh in an exclusive interview with NDTV on Tuesday, the minister said India is not the country it was in 1962 and will defend every inch of its territory. “We are not a small nation that can be bullied,” he said.

The Minister of Earth Sciences and Food Processing Industries, who is an MP from Arunachal West and will contest from the seat again in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, said, “I think the Chinese have suddenly realised that India now has a government which is not compromising on anything, especially with regard to our territorial integrity and efforts to secure our border.”

The minister said recent statements from Chinese authorities have complained about the rapid infrastructure development and other works taking place in the border areas. “That means, till 2014, all the border areas, right from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, bordering China, were deliberately left unattended and underdeveloped through a policy by the Congress and the UPA government. In 2013, then defence minister AK Antony had admitted in Parliament that, through a calculated policy, it was decided not to develop the border areas,” he claimed.

“The reasons given were totally unacceptable to us. The reason was silly also, it was a defeatist kind of outlook and policy. The Congress said the infrastructure, like roads and bridges, could be used by the Chinese to invade the country. So that means the Congress party had, in a way, given away… that these areas should not be secured fully… that they should be left for occupation by the Chinese,” he added.

“This has irritated the Chinese because they are not used to it. The Chinese were used to a meek Indian government as well as a pacifist policy towards the border areas. So that has not only infuriated them, it has also irritated them. PM Modi is not going to have any kind of a compromising policy to secure our territory,” he asserted.

The minister said that the Chinese giving names is part of an “unfounded false narrative”. “This misadventure and this kind of unethical conduct of the Chinese government will not have any impact on the ground. Historically, the people of Arunachal Pradesh have no link with China, in fact we have no word to refer to China. We have a word for Tibet. So our people didn’t know (about) the existence of China, because they were far off,” the minister said.

“It was only after 1959, when the entire Tibetan administrative region was occupied by the Chinese Communist Party did we come in direct contact,” he pointed out.

‘Making Them Look Shallow’

Mr Rijiju said that, far from strengthening China’s claims, the ‘renaming’ of places is making them look shallow because there’s no basis for it.

“If they have something substantial, they will not make a surreptitious claim. This is totally unacceptable to us, in fact we are very furious… For a responsible, big nation like China, how can they get into this kind of unfounded, false and very funny kind of action? The people of Arunachal Pradesh are taking strong exception to this kind of action from the Chinese side and we want to issue a very strong message… The more China does these kinds of activities, it will only strengthen our resolve to defend our territory,”  the minister said.

“Arunachal Pradesh is a state where you will not find a single movement which is detrimental to national security… Our identity, our historical connect with the sub-continent’s history will remain intact. We are part of India, we shall remain part of India. It is inalienable territory which belongs to India and will remain so… That is why this kind of misadventurous naming of geographical locations will only make them look very cheap and very unlike a responsible nation,” he added.

Pointing out that “neglected” border villages are being developed by the Modi government, Mr Rijiju alluded to the India-China war of 1962 and asserted, “We are ensuring we are not the India of 1962. We know China is very powerful and is a great power, but so is India. India is not a tiny, small nation that can be pushed around, which can be bullied. Under Modi ji, we are firm. We will not poke our nose into other’s matters, but we are very firm in defending our territory,” he asserted.

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) has one more victory to its credit in its fight for water under the multi-stage Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. Close on the heels of the ultimatum issued by BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, Irrigation officials on Tuesday released 800 cusecs of water from Mallanna Sagar to its ayacut. The emergency release of water was intended reach out to the villages with dried up sources.

Harish Rao on Tuesday had demanded the government to release water from Mallanna Sagar within 24 hours, failing which people in the command area of the project would lift the gates of the project on their own. Mallanna Sagar, which is viewed as the mother of all reservoirs in the Kaleshwaram project, is the biggest artificial reservoir in the country and expected to irrigate 11 lakh acres of land. But the crops raised under the project were on the verge of withering with water not being released.

The project has a gross storage capacity of 50 tmc. In all, eight heavy motors were installed at the Thukapur pump house in Thokkuta Mandal in Siddipet district for lifting water into the project. Nearly 62 per cent of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project ayacut is encompassed by the Mallanna Sagar reservoir.

Earlier, on Sunday, in view of the mounting pressure from people in the water-starved villages, the State government had pumped water drawn from the Yellampalli reservoir to the SRSP flood flow canal giving about 0.1 tmc of water to quench the thirst of people in a cluster of villages in erstwhile Karimnagar district.

The government also started drawing 1000 cusecs of water from the Nagarjuna Sagar to meet the drinking water needs in the command of the Nagarjuna Sagar left canal.
