Kothagudem: Grand arrangements were being made for Singareni Day-2024 celebrations to be held in Kothagudem and other SCCL areas on December 23.
The company general manager (personnel, welfare and recruitment cell) K Srinivasa Rao along with DGM (personnel-IR wing) K Ajay Kumar and DGM (personnel welfare) G Rajendra Prasad unveiled the wall poster of the event here on Saturday.
He informed that a main event of Singareni Day celebrations would be held in a grand manner at Prakasam stadium in Kothagudem and appealed to the people in the town and surrounding area to participate in the event in large numbers to make it a success.
Srinivasa Rao said that having a history of 136 years in meeting the needs of south India’s energy needs the SCCL has been playing a key role in the development of Telangana. The company provides livelihood to thousands of families and was a leader in implementing welfare programmes.
The company Chairman and Managing Director, N Balaram would be the chief guest at the event. A musical night by famous playback singers, Dhanunjay, Pranitha and Shritika Samudrala, classical dance performance by a noted artist Seethaprasad, special acts by Chennai based twin-jugglers Ashok-Anand and others would be part of the cultural programmes, he added.
Senior official K Kiran Kumar, communication officer T Srinivasa Rao, welfare PA K Varaprasada Rao, sports supervisors MC Posnet and Seva coordinator Ijaz Sharif were present.
