Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd was felicitated by Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), D. Shyamala for its contribution towards establishing state-of-the-art firewalls and security equipment to enhance the safety protocols at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad.

Two booked for attacking six persons including groom at a marriage party in Mancherial


Mancherial: Two persons were booked on Monday for attempting to murder six persons including a groom with a knife following a tiff over dance celebrations at a marriage party in Chennur on Sunday. The condition of two of the injured was learnt to be critical.

Chennur police said that the accused persons were Akula Shyam and Pandula Sammaiah of the town. The injured persons were Nennela Kiran and five others who were attending the reception of Kiran. They were shifted to a hospital in Mancherial. Based on a complaint received from one of the injured persons, a case was registered. Investigations were taken up.


Shyam and Sammaiah, who were reportedly in inebriated condition, indiscriminately attacked the six persons after a heated argument over a dance programme. It is also learnt that the two attacked the six persons following some previous grudges.

Police gesture ensures decent funeral for TB patient in Jangaon


Jangaon: A police official’s gesture in the final journey of a 35-year-old woman, who died of tuberculosis, has earned accolades from the people of the district.

According to reports, Lakshmi from Thorrur of Mahabubabad district was suffering from tuberculosis, following which her husband and in-laws threw her out of the house along with her two minor daughters in October last. However, Warangal-based social activist Mohammad Fasi, who came to know about the matter, admitted her to the Rajarajeswara Orphan Women’s Old Age Home in Jangaon.


One of her daughters was adopted by a relative and the other girl was admitted to an orphanage in Warangal. Both of them are currently studying in Classes 5 and 6.

In the meantime on Saturday, Lakshmi’s health deteriorated and she died. When the family members were informed about

her death, they refused to take the body.

Fasi then contacted Jangaon ASP Ankit Marnu, who responded immediately and informed the town CI Raghupathi Reddy. The CI held counselling for the family members, who agreed to conduct her funeral at their native village.

Hyderabad: A man who was allegedly involved in a murder case was brutally killed at Bachupally on Sunday.

The alleged assailants later posted a video of celebrating the killing.


The incident happened at Pragathinagar tank Bachupally in Jeedimetla.

The two assailants stabbed the victim Teja alias Sidhu to death with knives and escaped. The assailants and Sidhu were having previous enmity, according to the police officials.

The Bachupally police registered a case and special teams formed to nab the assailants.

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old-man was battered to death by some unknown persons at Medchal on Sunday night.

The victim Manish , a native of Bihar worked at a private company.


On Sunday night, he was found dead near a restaurant at Medchal.

The police said that some people had attacked and killed Manish after throwing stones on him.

The police on receiving information reached the spot and shifted the body for postmortem examination.

A case is registered and investigation is on.

Nizamabad: A six-year-old boy, who went missing two days ago, was found dead in a car in Rakasipet area of Bodhan town on Monday.

According to reports, the boy got inside a car parked on the roadside and the owner locked the car without noticing the boy.


The police suspect that the boy might have died of suffocation and heat after being trapped inside the car.

The police have registered a case and the investigation is underway.

Former MLA’s son Rahil arrested at RGI Airport by Punjagutta police


Hyderabad: The Punjagutta police arrested Rahil son of former MLA Aamir Shakil at RGI Airport on Monday.

Rahil, who had escaped to Dubai soon after a case was booked against him for ramming into a road barricade in front of Praja Bhavan at Somajiguda in December, 2023, returned to Hyderabad on Monday.


The police took him into custody and shifted to Punjagutta police station.

The police also registered case against former MLA Aamir Shakil, two Inspectors and others for helping Rahil escape from the police station and leave the country.

The two Inspectors and few others are already under arrest in the case.

While Rahil and Shakil were in Dubai fearing their arrest.

Kamareddy: A tribal hamlet is in the grip of ‘ vishama jwara'(an irregular pattern of fever) in Gandhari mandal of the district since last one week.

There are about 300 tribal residing in the tanda and most of them are suffering from fever. Though the matter was brought to the notice of the district medical authorities so far no one has visited the tanda. The tribal are demanding that the district authorities respond immediately and set up medical camps and provide treatment.

More women entering finance industry, study by Zell Education


Hyderabad: An increase in women’s participation in the finance industry has been observed by a recent study conducted by Zell Education, a finance and accounts edtech platform.

As per the latest study, there is an encouraging rise in female enrollment within the finance domain, currently standing at 35%, marking a 5% increase from the previous year.


The surge reflects a growing trend of women choosing finance courses, indicating their determination to excel in a traditionally male-dominated sectors.

The study also sheds light on the demographic profile of these aspiring female finance professionals, with a majority falling between the ages of 16 and 40.

Many of these individuals hold undergraduate or graduate degrees in commerce-related fields and hail from metro cities such as Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, and Chennai, it said.

The study further revealed that 75% of women landed betterpaying jobs in the finance industry upon completing the upskilling course.

Khammam: Multizone-1 IGP AV Ranganath told the district police to clamp down on the supply of ganja and economic sources of ganja smugglers.

He held a crime review meeting here on Saturday. Strict measures should be taken to eradicate the transportation and sale of ganja in the district by coordinating the police officers of the bordering States.


Special task force teams should be set up for this purpose, he said.

Ranganath wanted cases registered if there were complaints related to illegal finance business in the name of high interest rates and schemes. Legal action should be taken against the land grabbers.

Case should be registered against the financier and loan recovery agents who attacked and caused the death of a youth on Friday in Khammam city for not paying the EMI and they should be arrested, he said.

The IGP suggested strengthening the analysis team in the cybercrime police station in view of increasing cyber crimes due to increasing technology. Steps to prevent sand smuggling under jurisdiction of Khammam police commissionerate should be taken in coordination with mining and revenue officials.

As parliamentary elections were approaching, measures to control smuggling of alcohol, cash and drugs inspections had to be carried out along the border routes in coordination with police of bordering States, he noted.

Earlier in the day, Ranganath along with Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt conducted a surprise inspection of Khammam Khanapuram Haveli police station. He examined police station records and spoke to the complainants, who had recently filed complaints at the police station, over the phone.
