Mancherial: A head constable was killed on the spot after a lorry hit him on the Rajiv Rahadhari between Indaram and Tekumatla villages in Jaipur mandal early on Sunday.
Police said the deceased was Perka Anji Babu (33), who was working at the Mancherial Women Police Station and was a resident of Srirampur. He sustained severe head injuries when the lorry hit him. He was waiting for a bus at the time of the accident.
Sravanthi, wife of Anji Babu, lodged a complaint with the police. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
