Hyderabad: Three GRIET professors feature among Stanford’s World’s Top 2 pc Scientists

Three professors from GRIET, Hyderabad, have featured among Stanford University’s World’s Top 2 pc Scientists ranking released in collaboration with Elsevier. Dr. Swadesh Kumar Singh and Dr. Ram Subbiah secured recognition for the fourth consecutive year, while Dr. K. Swaraja also featured.

Hyderabad: Three professors from Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET), Hyderabad, featured among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the global ranking released by Stanford University, US, in collaboration with Elsevier.

Researchers from GRIET are Dr. Swadesh Kumar Singh, Dean R&D and Mechanical Engineering professor, Dr. Ram Subbiah, Mechanical Engineering professor, and Dr. K. Swaraja, ECE professor. Dr. Singh and Dr. Subbiah secured their place in the list for the fourth consecutive year, reflecting the consistency and sustained impact of their research contributions in their respective areas of expertise.


The Stanford–Elsevier ranking recognises leading researchers across diverse scientific disciplines based on standardised bibliometric indicators. The assessment considers parameters including citations, h-index and other indicators of research performance. The ranking broadly reflects both career-long research impact and research performance during a specific year.

Speaking on the achievement, GRIET vice president GVK Rangaraju said three faculty members sustained research contributions and global recognition demonstrate the depth and quality of research being undertaken at the institution.
