Three members of a family were killed and their young daughter injured after an unidentified truck allegedly rammed their vehicle from behind near Gollapally on the outskirts of Chevella. Police registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the truck.

Hyderabad: In a hit-and-run incident, a family of three was killed and their young daughter was injured after an unidentified truck allegedly rammed their vehicle from behind near Gollapally on the outskirts of Chevella on Tuesday night.
The victims were identified as Kummari Madhu, his wife Savithri and their son Dhanush, residents of Medipally in Moinabad mandal.
The family was returning home after attending a function in Chanvelli when the accident occurred at 9 pm.
Their daughter Akshitha survived with injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chevella.
A video from the accident site showed the injured child crying inconsolably while her parents and brother lay motionless on the road. The distressing scene has left onlookers shaken.
The Chevella Police have registered a case and are investigating the accident, including efforts to identify the truck involved.
