Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari made the remarks in this week’s Friday Prayers sermon in Tehran which coincided with the start of the Sacred Defense Week, which marks the anniversary of the 1980-88 Iraq-imposed war.
Considering the 8-year Sacred Defense a turning point for Iran, the region and the world, he added that today is a critical and unforgettable day in the history of the Islamic Revolution.
Stating that the war on Iran is continuing in other ways, he noted that enemies are the same enemies but weaker, the nation is the same nation but stronger, and enmities are the same but more complicated.
