Two pedestrians died as unidentified vehicle hit them in Siddipet district

Two men from Warangal district were killed after an unidentified vehicle hit them while they were crossing a road at Shankar Nagar stage in Siddipet district. The victims had arrived with a maize-laden lorry to unload their cargo at an ethanol factory

Siddipet: Two pedestrians died after an unidentified vehicle hit them while they were crossing the road at Shankar Nagar stage in the small hours of Sunday.

The deceased were Chenchu Raju (29) and Koyyala Srinivas (38), residents of Nallabelli in Warangal district. They had arrived in the area with a lorry load of maize, which they were to unload at a local ethanol factory.

They had parked the lorry and were crossing the road when the unidentified vehicle hit them. Both died on the spot after sustaining multiple injuries.

Koheda police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the government hospital in Husnabad for post-mortem examination. Police were making efforts to trace the vehicle involved in the accident.
