Four persons were killed and several others injured in a bus accident at Ananthagiri in Vikarabad on Saturday morning. Police, rescue teams and ambulances rushed to the spot, while injured victims were shifted to government hospitals for emergency treatment and specialised care.

Hyderabad: Vikarabad Superintendent of Police Sneha Mehra confirmed that four persons had died in the bus accident at Anathagiri reported on Saturday morning.
“Four persons were killed in the accident. The injured were shifted to nearby government hospitals, where they were being provided emergency treatment. Those requiring specialised or super-speciality care were being shifted to higher medical centres,” said Vikarabad SP, Sneha Mehra.
She explained that police, emergency medical teams and ambulances were rushed to the spot soon after the accident.
“Rescue personnel and local residents helped evacuate the injured from the bus and shift them to hospitals. Doctors were assessing the condition of the injured and providing first aid and other necessary treatment,” said the official.
The medical authorities were coordinating with the RDMO and concerned doctors to ensure that critically injured persons received immediate treatment. Officials stressed the importance of the first hour after the accident, considered the “golden hour” in trauma care, and focused on rapid rescue, stabilisation and shifting of seriously injured victims.
