A 25-year-old woman working at a software company was allegedly assaulted by her colleague near Hyderabad after rejecting his marriage proposals. The accused allegedly forced her into a car, assaulted her during an argument and pushed her out before fleeing.

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old software professional was allegedly assaulted by her colleague after she refused his repeated marriage proposals in Shamshabad.
According to the RGIA police, the woman, a native of Jharkhand who works as a manager at a software company in Hyderabad, lives in Madhapur. Her colleague, identified as Akash, had been allegedly pursuing her, claiming that he loved her and wanted to marry her.
She had earlier approached the Madhapur police over his alleged harassment, following which he reportedly backed off.
On Wednesday, the woman, who had returned from Delhi and arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, was allegedly confronted by Akash.
Police said he threatened her, forced her into a car and drove towards the city. An argument broke out between the two during the journey, following which Akash allegedly punched her and later pushed her out of the car before fleeing.
Based on the complaint, the RGIA police are investigating the incident.
