Hyderabad: Telangana’s anti-narcotics efforts have earned national recognition, with the State’s Narcotics Bureau and Eagle Force scoring over 80 per cent across seven parameters prescribed by the Union government to assess anti-narcotics task forces.
Eagle Force Director Sandeep Shandilya received the national-level award from Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the third National Conference of Anti-Narcotics Task Force Heads in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The assessment covered intelligence operations, control of precursors and synthetic drugs, prosecution, demand reduction, coordination and capacity building, research and analysis, and administration.
