Hyderabad: Hyderabad Public School (Ramanthapur) and St. Peter’s School (Jubilee Hills) emerged champions in the Hyderabad District School Games Federation football tournaments at Gymkhana Ground here on Monday.
In the girls’ Under-14 final, St. Peter’s defeated Ocean The ABM High School (Saidabad), while Government Girls High School (Golconda) finished third.
In the boys’ Under-17 final, HPS got the better of Gowtham Model High School (Trimulgherry), while St. Peter’s finished third.
In the boys’ Under-14 final, St. Peter’s emerged winners, while Don Bosco HS (Erragadda) finished second and Ocean The ABM High School (Saidabad) third.
Former India captain Shabir Ali, former international Victor Amal Raj and former DSDO A. Aleem Khan gave away the prizes in the presence of former United Andhra Pradesh captain Chandra Sekhar, former SBI chief manager K. Giridhar and AFC A-Licence coach from State Bank of India E.S. Shyam.
