Iran, Russia firming up cooperation, especially in economic sector

The Islamic Republic of Iran has long pursued a policy of deepening ties with neighboring and regional states.

Russia is one of the countries Iran has boosted its cooperation with in recent years. The two countries have close economic and political ties, and are now eyeing the opportunities to further strengthen and broaden their relations.
