ECI directs Telangana to prepare voter rolls for two Graduates’ Constituencies

The Election Commission has directed Telangana officials to prepare fresh electoral rolls for the Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituencies. November 1, 2026, is the qualifying date, while applications in modified Form-18 will be accepted until November 6.

Hyderabad: With elections to Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduates’ Constituency and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituency due in March 2027, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the State election officials to prepare the electoral rolls for the two constituencies with November 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.

As per the schedule issued by the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer on Thursday, a public notice for enrolment as an elector will be issued on September 28 and republished in newspapers on October 15 and 25.


Applications can be filed online through CEO website https://ceotelangana.nic.in or Form-18, along with required documents and certificates, can be submitted to the EROs, AEROs, designated officers or additional designated officers in person. The applications can also be sent by post to the ERO, AERO or designated officer. The deadline for receipt of applications in Form 18 is November 6.

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudharsan Reddy said that as the electoral rolls for the Graduates’ Constituency are required to be prepared afresh, all persons whose names are included in the existing rolls should also submit a fresh application in the modified Form-18.

Every application in modified Form-18 by a person seeking enrolment in Graduates’ Constituency should be accompanied by authenticated copies of requisite documents/certificates, he said.

Mere reference to an entry in the existing electoral roll will not be taken into account for determining the eligibility of a person for enrolment in the electoral rolls, he added.

After applications phase, manuscripts preparation and draft electoral rolls will be printed by November 20 and draft electoral rolls will be published on November 25. Claims and objections on the draft can be raised between November 25 and December 10, and they will be disposed of by December 25. The final electoral roll publication is scheduled for December 30.
