New Delhi: Crude oil prices fell by Rs 89 to Rs 9,730 per barrel in futures trade on Thursday amid weak global trends.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for September delivery slipped by Rs 89, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 9,730 per barrel in a business turnover of 12,390 lots.
Analysts said prices fell after participants offloaded their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.75 per cent lower at USD 101.66 per barrel, while Brent crude declined 0.96 per cent to USD 104.81 per barrel in New York.
