Telangana declares 13-day Dasara holidays for schools

Schools across Telangana will observe 13-day Dasara holidays from October 10 to 22, with classes resuming on October 23. Students will first take Summative Assessment-I exams, while junior colleges will have holidays from October 10 to 21.

Telangana declares 13-day Dasara holidays for schools

Hyderabad: School students across the State will get as many as 13 days to celebrate the Dasara festival this year. As announced by the Telangana School Education department, irrespective of the management, all schools will break for Dasara holidays from October 10 to 22. After the short-term holidays, schools will reopen on October 23.

Prior to the Dasara vacation, students will have Summative Assessment-I examinations, which will commence on October 1. The exams for the primary section will be held from October 5 to 9, while students of Classes VI to X will have exams from October 1 to 9.


Meanwhile, all junior colleges will also have a short vacation on the lines of schools. The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has declared the Dasara vacation from October 10 to 21, with reopening scheduled for October 22. Before the short vacation, students have to appear for the half-yearly examinations that will be conducted from October 3 to 9.
