Residents protest in Jogulamba Gadwal seeking service road connectivity

Jogulamba Gadwal: Irked over official apathy in addressing their long-pending demand for service roads, residents and farmers of Rajoli mandal in Jogulamba Gadwal district staged a protest on Tuesday.

Residents and farmers from Rajoli and Vaddepally expressed distress over the difficulties caused by the Bharatmala National Highway passing through the area.

They said the absence of service roads and necessary entry and exit links to the highway was causing severe hardships. Farmers, in particular, said they were finding it difficult to reach their fields and transport vehicles required for agricultural operations.

The residents said they were being forced to take long detours to reach the main road or travel between different locations. They stressed the need for adequate connectivity that takes into account the commuting needs of local residents and the requirements of farmers.

They alleged that despite repeatedly bringing the issue to the attention of the concerned officials, no solution had been provided. With their grievances allegedly being ignored, they said they were left with no option but to stage a protest.

Farmers and residents demanded immediate construction of service roads and entry and exit links for the Bharatmala Highway.

The protesters also urged officials to examine the issue immediately and provide a permanent solution. They warned that they would intensify their agitation if their demand was not addressed.
