Heavy rains lashed Telangana under renewed active monsoon conditions, with Siddipet recording the State’s highest rainfall. Kondapak received 145.3 mm, while several Hyderabad areas, including Secunderabad, Bowenpally and Alwal, witnessed heavy rain and waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Hyderabad: Heavy rains lashed several parts of Telangana in the last 24-hours under the influence of renewed active monsoon conditions.

Based on the rainfall data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS), Siddipet district had the state’s highest downpours with Kondapak mandal recording 145.3 mm rain fall.


Neighboring districts of Medak, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, and Karimnagar also experienced significant heavy downpours.

In and around the city, Secunderabad, Bowenpally, Alwal, and surrounding zones registered high rainfalls, leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas.
The Begumpet IMD observatory and Gymkhana grounds area recorded the maximum rainfall of 95 mm.
