Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday questioned the Telangana Police over the registration of a sexual harassment case against BRS MLAs and MLCs following an altercation at the Assembly entry point. Referring to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy as the “cheap minister of Telangana”, he described the case against the BRS legislators as an abuse of law through the police.
He asserted that the party would fight the rubbish cases in court.
However, Rama Rao questioned DGP CV Anand over the status of the sexual harassment allegations involving Miss England against Congress leaders who allegedly misbehaved with her during the Miss World contest in Hyderabad two years ago. He asked whether the Telangana Police would continue to shield those accused in that case.
“Any answers, Mr Rahul Gandhi?” he asked, directly questioning the Congress leader over the issue.
