Siddipet: BRS cadres ‘purify’ roads used by Congress workers in Markook

BRS cadres cleaned roads in Markook mandal on Wednesday by sprinkling turmeric-mixed water after a confrontation with Congress workers on Tuesday. BRS leaders alleged that Congress workers damaged a party leader’s house and car and injured him during the clash.

BRS workers are cleaning roads at Varadarajapur, Markook mandal in Siddipet district on Wednesday.

Siddipet: The BRS cadres have cleaned the roads that were used by the Congress leaders and cadres when they arrived at Markook mandal to attack the former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s residence.

Congress leaders from neighbouring Yadadri-Bhongir and other districts arrived at Varadarajupur in Markook mandal and proceeded towards Rao’s residence on Tuesday where the BRS cadres cleaned the water mixed with turmeric on Wednesday, in a bid to purify them.


Even though the police tried to confiscate water containers, the BRS workers braved to clean the roads. As the BRS cadres outnumbered the police, they could not stop them. The BRS workers raised KCR Zindabad slogans and raised slogans against the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Varadarajpur almost turned into a battlefield on Tuesday as a huge number of Congress workers arrived at the place and the BRS cadres tried to stop them from proceeding towards Rao’s residence. The Congress goons pelted stones on BRS leader Krishna Yadav’s residence. His car, and house were damaged in the attack while Yadav also sustained injuries
