Heavy police deployment as Congress threatens siege at KCR’s Erravally residence

Siddipet: Tension prevailed in Gajwel as some Congress leaders threatened to lay-siege to former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s residence at Erravally. The police deployed a huge number of police forces to take the situation under control.

While the BRS workers were preparing to organise a ‘rythu deeksha’ programme in Markook mandal, the police took them into custody on Tuesday. Some key leaders from across the constituency were also taken into custody, to avoid any untoward incidents.

The BRS leaders have condemned their arrest. Stating that they have planned a peaceful protest to highlight the issues of farmers, the BRS workers said that the police were acting at the behest of the Congress government. Some Dalith leaders from Gajwel also announced that they will lay-siege to Rao’s residence at Erravally.

Meanwhile, the police have also deployed a huge number of police forces at Siddipet camp office into custody as precautionary measures. In the wake of Monday’s incident in State assembly, the BRS planned protests at various places.
