During his visit to Geneva, Switzerland for the 55th meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council and the Conference on Disarmament, Amir-Abdollahian met with his Danish counterpart on Tuesday as part of his diplomatic consultations.

The two had previously engaged in joint talks, resulting in progress on issues of mutual interest, including consular issues, Amir-Abdollahian said, expressing Iran’s readiness to continue talks and cooperation within the framework of common interests, particularly in the economic and commercial fields, to strengthen the cooperation of the private sectors of the two countries.

The Iranian diplomat also shared his country’s position regarding developments in Ukraine and the Red Sea, calling for a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine and urging pressure on the Zionist regime to stop the war against Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinians, considering the continuation of the Gaza crisis as the root of instability in the Red Sea.

Amir-Abdollahian proposed the activation of the political consultation committee of the two countries at the level of the senior political managers of the foreign ministries to address various issues of interest.
