Telangana SIR: Special campaigns for claims, objections on September 5 and 6

The Telangana Chief Electoral Office will conduct special campaigns on September 5-6 and 12-13 for claims and objections to draft electoral rolls prepared under the Special Intensive Revision. Electors can verify the rolls and submit Forms 6, 7 and 8

Telangana SIR: Special campaigns for claims, objections on September 5 and 6

Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Electoral Office officials are organising two special campaigns on claims and objections on the draft electoral rolls released as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the State. The first campaign will be held on September 5 and 6, and the second campaign is on September 12 and 13 at the polling stations.

The applicants / electors can visit the said designated locations at polling station level to verify draft roll or deposit their claims and objections through Form-6, 7 and 8. Normal practice of lodging claims and objections in the offices of Electoral Registration Officers will also be accepted.


The Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) will be available at the designated locations at polling station level on the campaign days.

“The BLO will go through the draft roll with the BLAs and identify the corrections etc., if any and act as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India,” the CEO said. Electors have been urged to utilize the special campaign days for filing their claims and objections on the draft electoral rolls.
