Traffic restrictions and diversions will be imposed around Hyderabad’s ISKCON Temple on Abid Road from 4 am on September 4 to 1 am on September 5 for Janmashtami celebrations. Commuters have been advised to avoid several congested routes.

Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions and diversions will be imposed around the ISKCON Temple at Abid Road on Friday, in view of the Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav.
The restrictions will be in force from 4 am on September 4 to 1 am on September 5, depending on the movement and congregation of devotees.
Traffic police have advised commuters to avoid Yousuf & Company, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Abids Circle, Old Hyderabad Collector Office, Chirag Ali Lane and Nampally Station Road, which are likely to witness heavy congestion.
Accordingly, traffic from Gunfoundry and Tilak Road Junction towards Nampally Station Road will be regulated at GPO Junction. If crowd movement increases, vehicles will be diverted towards MJ Market. Traffic from Jambagh Road and S.A. Bazar Mosque towards GPO Junction will also be regulated and, if required, diverted at MJ Market towards Gandhi Bhavan and Chapel Road.
Similarly, vehicles from Taj Island, Nampally, towards Koti Bank Street will continue via Bharat Petrol Pump, Samachara Hakku Bhavan, Yousuf & Company and Troop Bazar. Also, traffic from the BJP State Office will be diverted towards MJ Market Road instead of Old Hyderabad Collector Office Junction.
RTC buses on surrounding routes will also be diverted as per traffic conditions. Parking for devotees has been arranged at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally.
