Warangal narcotics police (EAGLE Force) arrested two men from Kerala and seized 129 kg of ganja during vehicle checks on Warangal-Khammam Highway. Two other suspects, Ajith and Vicky, are absconding.

Warangal: Warangal narcotics police (EAGLE Force) arrested two persons and seized 129 kg of ganja.
According to an official release here on Monday, based on a tip-off, the police conducted vehicle inspections on Warangal-Khammam Highway at Wardhannapet in the district on Sunday evening and seized the substance worth Rs 64.66 lakh.
The accused Sayuj CS and Besalel C Mathew who were arrested belong to Kerala. Two others involved in the case, Ajith and Vicky were absconding. Special teams have been formed to nab them.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Vicky of Odisha supplied the ganja, while Ajith coordinated the transportation. The accused set out from Bengaluru in a car, travelled to Chitrakonda-Darakonda area in Odisha, purchased the ganja and were en route to Bengaluru before proceeding to Kerala.
Both the accused were booked in ganja cases in Kerala and Karnataka in the past. A case was registered at Warangal narcotics police station under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b) (ii) (C), 27(b), 27A and 29 of the NDPS Act; the two arrested accused were produced before the court, the release said.
