Hyderabad: Ojas Praveen and Aditi Gopi Chand Swami, both from Maharashtra, emerged champions in the individual category of the NTPC-sponsored Senior National archery championship at the Hyderabad Public School (Begumpet) here on Monday.
In the women’s final, Aditi Gopichand Swami defeated Sakshi Choudhary (Uttar Pradesh) with a score of 146-145.
Madhura Dhamangaonkar (Maharashtra) won the bronze.
In the men’s final, Ojas Praveen defeated Abhishek Verma (Delhi) with a score of 150-148 to win the gold medal.
Sahil Rajesh Yadav (RSPB) won the bronze.
In the men’s team event, the team comprising Abhishek Verma, Priyanshu, Aman Saini, and Ritik Chahal (Delhi) won the gold medal.
In the women’s team event, the team of Samaniya, Anshu, Raj Kaur, and Sukhpreet Kaur (AIPSCB) also secured the gold medal. Telangana High Court Justice K. Lakshman, HPS Society President J. Gusti Noria, Telangana Archery Association President T. Raju, General Secretary Arvind, and senior members Shankarayya, Ashwin, and Pawan Kalyan graced the valedictory function.
