Hyderabad: Shivani Karra of Telangana settled for a silver in the girls under-14 100m backstroke event with a timing of 1:09.97 in the School Games Federation of India swimming championship in Delhi on Tuesday.
Another Telangana girl, Sudhiksha Krishna, bagged a bronze in the girls under-19 50m freestyle event with a timing of 28.24.

Kaka Inter-district T-20 league from Dec 22
Hyderabad Cricket Association will organise the Kaka Venkataswamy Memorial Telangana Inter-district T-20 league cricket championship from December 22 to January 17.
The tournament is being held in memory of Venkataswamy, father of Dr G Vivekanand, Minister of Labour, Employment, Training and Factories, Mines and Geology, and G Vinod, former Minister and ex-HCA President.

Hyd bundled out for 116 in first innings
Hyderabad was skittled out for 116 against Saurashtra in the first innings on the first day of the Cooch Behar Trophy (under-19) cricket championship league match at Mulapadu on Tuesday.
Batting first, Hyderabad scored 116 in 37.5 overs with Wafi Kachchhi (37) being the top-scorer.
In reply, Saurashtra notched up 169 for six in 52 overs with Wafi bowling well to take five for 55.
